In-Sight: A Way to Read the Gospels

I am always happy to find a new way to read the Bible—a way that opens the Word of God in a fresh way.  Richard Rohr recently offered me such a way in one of his e-meditations….

When you read the Gospels, ask yourself, “What is the question that Jesus is trying to answer here?” Then say, “Lord, put in my heart those same questions. Make me curious about the important questions.” Jesus can only answer people who are asking honest and real questions.

As you begin the new year, perhaps you will find this suggestion to be another way of reading the Bible and responding to its revelation.
