In-Sight: The Ultimate Purpose of Scripture

The ultimate purpose of scripture is to connect us with God.  Revelation comes as invitation, and our reading of the Bible is one way we accept the invitation and make the connection.

In his e-letter for March 3rd, Richard Rohr provided three good questions that help effect the God-human encounter.  As we read a passage, let us ask…

1. What is God doing here?
2. What does this say about who God is?
3. What does this say about how I can then relate to such a God?
